About Will Culpepper

I’m here to help your family stay out of court and conflict in the event of your death or disability. Welcome.

I'm Will Culpepper, your neighborhood Personal Family Lawyer®, and I’m here to support you with a counseling methodology for making decisions about your estate planning that ensures you’ll have a plan that works. After all, if your plan doesn’t work when your family needs it, what’s the point of  planning?

My wife Cristy and I have lived in the Lake Norman area of Mecklenburg County for 20 years. We have two sons who we’ve raised in this great community, attending local schools and participating in many sports and other recreational activities. Together we’ve held leadership positions throughout our lives here, from leading Cub Scouts to coaching flag football to holding top positions in the parent/teacher association at our elementary school. I once even dressed up as the school’s mascot at special events!

After graduating from law school at Wake Forest University in 2002, I started my legal career as a criminal defense attorney in Winston-Salem before joining the largest law firm in Charlotte as a corporate and government affairs attorney. After 20 years representing large corporations and lobbying legislators, I decided to start my own law firm and transition into legal estate planning. I recognized the important need to serve those in my community to help protect their hard earned assets during their lives, and to eventually pass them along to their loved ones and future generations.

Time and again, I’ve seen unfortunate examples of hardworking people who lost much of their accumulated wealth due to simply not having a solid estate plan in place. Let me help you protect what you’ve earned!  Everybody’s life story and family situations are unique. Together, we can create the best individual plan for you and make sure that your family is forever protected and that your ultimate estate planning goals are met.

There’s no better time than today.

We’ll make it easy and affordable for you to do the right thing for yourself and the people you love. Our consultative approach is designed to educate you, help you choose the right legal and financial strategies, and then execute them—especially when you are really busy and life is full.
